Oak woodlands are one of the most iconic landscapes in California and cover millions of acres throughout the state. In our region the dominant types of oak trees are the valley oak, blue oak, and interior live oak. This landscape provides great habitat for a variety of flora and fauna native to California. Once established these plants can often survive with seasonal rainfall alone and minimal irrigation.
