Hinkle Reservoir Tank Project
The District is moving forward with a major improvement project that includes the rehabilitation of the District’s Hinkle Reservoir. The 62 million gallon drinking water reservoir was lined and covered in 1980. The cover and liner have outlived their useful life and need to be replaced. To assist with operational control during the project, two large temporary tanks will be installed on the District’s property just beyond the main gate. These bolted steel tanks, as seen in the rendering below, are currently under fabrication and are scheduled to be erected by November 2020.
The District appreciates our customers and wanted to update everyone on the upcoming change of scenery. The two tanks are temporary and will be removed once the project is completed. We expect completion in spring/summer of 2022.
If you have any questions about the project or the temporary tanks, please contact Paul Helliker, General Manager, at (916) 791-0115.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this critical project.
